About Me
A Century of Experience:
Three generations of the Bassett Family have owned and operated Ski-Hi Fruit Farm atop the Baraboo Bluffs. Hardworking, industrious and adaptable, the family and the farm have remained a staple throughout the years for those near and far. Today Jacob Franzen manages the farm with wisdom and guidance from Betty, third generation farm owner.
A native of Baraboo, Jacob received his introduction to tree fruit in the orchards of Door County, Wisconsin while a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jacob is involved with all aspects of the orchard from pruning trees to stocking the shelves in the market. If you see him around, be sure to pick his brain for fun facts and trivia about apples and Ski-Hi Fruit Farm.
