About Me
Katie Podgorski is a 3rd Generation Christmas Tree Grower. Christmas Trees are part of her DNA. She is the granddaughter of the late Fred Latzig Sr., a charter member of the Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association. Katie worked with her Aunt (Donna) and Mother (Nancy) at Badger Wreath Inc. (wholesale wreath & garland operation) in production, customer service, bookkeeping, advertising, and media production. She also managed The Front Porch in Merrill, WI, a retail shop specializing in fresh evergreen decor, gifts, and antiques. In 2019, she became the owner/operator of Fritz’s Mountain Christmas Tree Farm with her husband, Jon, four children and sister-in-law, Connie. Katie, along with her husband, also owns and operates Ski’s Sugar Shack, a business specializing in maple syrup confections, and High Ridge Farms, known for their famous sweet corn.
