About Me
Josie Boyle is the owner and winemaker of Mousse Sparkling Wine Co. in Jordan, MN, a winery specializing in sparkling wines made from Minnesota cold-hardy grapes. Josie grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota and has worked in wineries in Iowa, New Zealand, Michigan, and Minnesota. She learned the craft of making méthode champenoise and charmat method sparkling wines while working at Mawby in Traverse City, Michigan, and later started the méthode champenoise sparkling wine program at Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery in Kasota, MN. In 2019, Josie struck off on her own to start Mousse Sparkling Wine Company, a winery dedicated to making sparkling wines from Minnesota fruit. Mousse opened its doors in September 2020 in Jordan, MN and produces a range of bubbly wines using forced carbonation, the charmat method, pétillant naturel, and méthode champenoise.
