John has been growing Giant Pumpkins for more than 25 years. He has had State Records in watermelon, long gourd, bushel gourd, squash and the current Giant Pumpkin at 2283 pounds ! He currently serves as the President of Wisconsin Giant Pumpkin Growers Club and was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Greater Pumpkin Commonwealth.
