About Me
Lois Federman is the Director of the Something Special from Wisconsin™ branded marketing program. The program was founded in 1983 and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Since July 2005, she has worked in the role of Agriculture Program Specialist Advanced. Her primary responsibility is leading and managing the almost 500 member program with a focus on development and promotion of Wisconsin’s agricultural products and producers. Lois is a certified Wisconsin Value-Added Food & Farm Business Consultant specializing in brand identity, product development, packaging and labeling, customer acquisition. Lois and her brother are 4th generation owners/operators of their family's 580 acre homestead farm where emphasis is placed on marketing and sales channel diversification for selling their farm products.
